Links I Love #1

As inspired by Blonde and Cupcakes, I am going to do a quick post talking about some websites etc. I have been loving a lot at the moment.

polyvore.com - If you don't already know, Polyvore is an app/website where you can discover and create outfits and styles. I absolutely love designing outfits and I just find myself picking the perfect top for the perfect jeans in my spare time. I would totally recommend to anyone to try it as it has so many features that it can entertain a very large audience.

buzzfeed.com - Yet again, quite a well known website but I just really love the content they put up. They're Youtube videos are great too. I love having a quick scroll through their articles before bed.

emilyfayeslittleworld.blogspot.co.ukemilyfayeslittleworld.blogspot.co.uk - This is one of the blogs I have been reading a lot of recently. She posts really often and has great posts so I recommend to go and check her blog out

youtube.com/hannahmaggs - Throughout 2014, Hannah Maggs has probably been my favourite youtuber. I love the content her and Stef put up and the editing just gets better week by week. So, if you have a quick 20 minutes to spare, go and watch one of their videos!

netlix.com - I know this is a bit of an obvious one as I think I have talked about Netflix quite a few times on here. If you somehow didn't know already, Netflix is just a program in which you can watch a load of films and tv shows. I'm watching Pretty Little Liars at the moment and it is amazing!

spotify.com - If anyone asks me what spotify is, I normally just say a song version for Netflix. You basically just get endless songs and playlists and its just amazing. No more explanation needed.

I think thats about it for this post. I hope you enjoyed it and I will possibly do more in the future.

Skincare, Beauty and Clothing Haul

Yesterday I went on a shopping trip to Birmingham and picked up a few things. I thought I would do a post on my purchases for you'all.

1. Checkered Shorts - Primark - £5
I am really into monochrome at the moment and these seemed like an all year purchase, with tights in winter and without in summer!

2. Printed Leggins - Primark - £10
I have been admiring similar leggins to these for a while, wondering if I could pull it off. Yesterday I decided to just go for it and buy these. They're super comfy.

3. Myth Lipstick - MAC - £15.50
I have wanted to try a nude lipstick and also to buy a MAC lipstick. I put them both together and bought the Myth shade yesterday. There will be a review coming soon, dont worry!

4. Bath Balistic - Lush -
I always purchase a bath bomb/ballistic whenever I go into a Lush as I don't have one near where I live. This one looked and smelled amazing, and I will be adding it to my Lush collection.

5. Hair Conditioner - Lush
I was on a search for a conditioner yesterday anyway when I came across this one. I haven't tried out any of Lush's conditioners or hair products so I'm excited to try this one out.

6. Purple Skater Skirt - H&M -
I was looking for a black skater skirt when I found this one. I want to try to stop wearing jeans so much so I picked this one up. So far, I love it.

7. Necklace - H&M - £1.99
Whilst in H&M I picked this up as I have been wanting a deinty necklace for a while and this one was really cheap.

8. Tea Tree Face Wash - The Body Shop - £5
I have been wanting a general face wash for a while now and this one seemed perfect. I absolutely love the smell of tea tree and I tried it yesterday and it works amazingly!

9. Elegant Touch Stick on Nails - Boots - £7.99
I saw these in Boots yesterday and I have been wanting to try some of these out. I think this is the perfect colour as it goes with a load of different colours too.

I hope you enjoyed this post, I will be putting up some reviews of these products and hopefully a fashion post too. I will talk to you in tomorrows post!

I will have pictures for this post tomorrow, I'm just getting a few things in order after a hard two weeks! xx

Chamilia Bracelet

My Chamilia bracelet has been seen many times around my wrist lately. I got this around a year ago and I haven't worn a lot until lately. If you didn't know, Chamilia are most well known for their charm bracelets. Similar to Pandora and Tiffany charm bracelets, Chamilia is in the same price range. I thought today that I would talk about it a little.

I got the Flex Bracelet which is a little different to the average charm bracelet. I got this as I think it would look good with or without many charms on it.

To date, I have two charms on my bracelet. My first is an E charm. I got this for my birthday, and I have worn it quite a bit. The second is a trio charm, with two silver rings and a pink one.

I understand that this is quite a short post but I hope to have an extra long one sometimes next week.

Crown Make-Up Brushes Review

"The 7 Piece Pink Sable set have all been constructed with a high grade sable, goat and synthetic blend. Each brush features a matte silver ferrule and birch wood handle covered in the “perfect” shade of pink. Perfect for creating a flawless face (whatever the occasion) the Pink Leatherine case pockets keep everything organised." - crown.co.uk

Today's post is going to be a a quick review for the Crown Make-up brushes that I recently got for Christmas.

This adorable set of make-up brushes was a gift from my parents for Christmas. I was unaware that Crown did make-up brushes, I thought they only did painting brushes. Little did I know that they had a great range of brushes, over quite a range of prices. Before I talk about the whole range by Crown, I will talk a little about my set.

This set includes 7 brushes. 1 large powder brush, which I use for face powder; 1 smaller powder brush, for bronzer or highlighter; 1 foundation brush; 3 eyeshadow brushes, over a range of sizes and an eyeliner brush.

The brushes are all great, all do their jobs perfectly. They're also really easy to store and travel with thanks to the case. Plus they're the perfect pink to match the polka dots on my make-up bag!

This link will take you to the Crown brushes range. I would really recommend to anyone to have a quick look.

I hope you enjoyed this quick post, I will have another post tomorrow.

Daily School Make-up

I'm snuggled up in bed, listening to an acoustic playlist on Spotify and writing a little blogpost. A very relaxing Thursday night, although a cup of tea would be lovely. Today's post is going to be my daily school make-up routine/look. Seeing as I don't do very much with my make-up on weekdays, I thought this little mid-week post would be fitting.

I firstly moisturise, not always but normally every two days. I love the Clinique Dramatically Different moisturiser is amazing. It's great before make-up as it blends in really quickly and really works.

Next thing is foundation. I have mentioned this foundation quite a few times before, the Hello Flawless foundation by Benefit. I have promised to do a full review on this and it is coming, don't worry! Anyway, I use this and I absolutely love it. I normally use my fingers for this as I find a brush blends the foundation in too much and makes me orange.

Next step is concealer. My long love for the Collection Lasting Perfection is still on going and I'm still using it daily (as I have been for probably the last year). I love how this it is and works for my under eyes and spots which is great.

I always put on my matte white shade of eyeshadow from my Oh So Special palette from Sleek. This just brightens my eyes and acts a bit like a foundation for my eyelids (I never thought I would ever write that out!).

I then go to curl my lashes and add mascara. I recently bought the Collection No Clumps mascara. I didn't have high hopes for this as I normally find more expensive mascaras work better with me. But I was totally wrong, this is amazing. Would recommend to anyone.

I then lastly finish with the Stay Matte powder from Rimmel. I just put a bit of this on just to stop any unwanted shinyness on my face.

I don't normally do anything with my lips. Sometimes a quick lip balm but no colour etc. I find its a little too much for school.

I hope you enjoyed this little post. Comment below if you'd like to see some more make-up looks and I will make sure to do some more in the future.

Updates!

Hi everyone, today is going to be a quick post on some updates here on this blog. I had hoped to put this all into one big Hello 2015 post, but I had to get a few things straightened out first.

1 - Schedule
In 2015 (well at least for the first few months), I am going to be keeping to a schedule-
Monday
Thursday
Sunday
I will probably be putting up little posts inbetween when I have something quick to talk about. I understand that schedules can be stressful and can make blogging less enjoyable but I like organization so I think it will be a good thing.

2 - Secret Blogger Project
I am a part of the Secret Blogger Project, so I will be posting twice a month with around 20 other teen bloggers with the same topic of posts (if that makes any sense). I will be saying a bit about it on every post to do with the project, but I thought I might let you know.

3 - Collabing and Guest Posts
Lastly, I have decided this year to do more collabing and guest posts on here. This is so you, my readers, can find more posts and for me to connect with more bloggers. So if you're interested in doing a collaboration or a guest post then feel free to email me!

I hope you enjoyed this quick little post, I will have a proper one up on Thursday. Until then, I hope you had a great Monday.

Liebster Awards

Hi everyone, todays post is half a long awaited one, half not so long awaited one. I got nominated by Cara to do for the Liebster awards and a few days ago I got nominated again by Pink Demure to do it and remembered I had been nominated before! Silly me!

So today, I am going to be answering two sets of questions of the two times I have been nominated for the Liebster Awards, and tagging a few blogs and giving them their questions.

CaraWritesStuff Questions-

1. Would you rather never read a blog again or never write your own? I honestly don't know, this ones too hard!
2. Ever been to a blogger meetup? If so what was your experience? If not, would you like to? No, but I would love to!
3. Have you told your friends/family that you are a blogger? Some of my friends, and some of my family but they're not bothered.

4. Lipstick, lipliner, lip stain, lip balm or lipgloss? Lipstick
5. What 3 products are on your wishlist? At the moment, a MAC nude lipstick, some spring clothing and a new bag.
6. Out of every person in the world, dead or alive, who would you like to interview on your blog? Probably Zoe Sugg, eek!
7. How did you first get involved with blogging? I had heard about it from social media, and I decided to check it out.
8. Who have you met through blogging and what relationship do you have with them now? Well I have kind of met Cara through blogging/instagram and she is my internet friend!
9. What do you feel is the best thing/advice you try to give to your readers? Keep smiling, and remember that it probably won't matter this time next year.
10. Which bloggers do you look up to and why? Theres too many for me to mention, but they're for reasons like their posts and picture quality and their readers responses to their posts.
11. Because I am nosy, have you read my blog before this post? If you have, what do you think? Yes I have, and I love it!

PinkDemure Questions-
1. What is your favourite quote? I don't really have one, as different ones relate to me at different times.
2. What do you like about yourself? I'm not really too sure, possibly my personality I guess.
3. What is the last thing that made you laugh? I was going through my Biology homework and one possibly answer for a questions was because penguins can fly (nerd).

5. What do you do in your spare time? Watch netflix and blog. Sometimes I go social things, but not really!
6. What is your biggest challenge when it comes to blogging? To get myself to take the pictures for my posts. I just always leave it to last minute as I always think it will take a few seconds.
7. What is your biggest pet peeve? I have way too many, but using emojis at the wrong moments is probably one of them.
8. What did you do yesterday? Yesterday, I went to work and then went for a quick shop with friends. When I got home I had a little pamper evening and eat pizza.
9. Coffee or tea? Tea. Tea. Tea.
10. Do you have a pet? Yes, I have a whippet dog, three goats and three donkeys. Strange selection, I know.
11. What is your zodiac sign? Gemini, but I'm not into all that stuff really.

I tag-

Your questions-
1. What was your highlight of today?
2. Favourite crisp flavour?
3. Best memory?
4. Where would you like to see yourself in 5 years?

Lets Keep to Those Resolutions!

Have you ever kept to a new years resolution? For a whole year? Because I haven't, and I am going to be telling you a few tips on how to keep to those resolutions.

You need to remind yourself -

There are a few ways to remind yourself of those resolutions. Reminding yourself in the morning is a great way to remember throughout the day. So how about pin them up on a pin board beside your bed? If its one of the first things you see in the morning, you will remember.

Another way to remind yourself is to keep it on your phone. If you're anything like me, you probably spend half your day on your phone (and that isn't really helping that getting fitter resultion..). How about take a picture of your new years resolutions and have it as your lock/home screen? Maybe have your resolution as the label of one of your alarms?

Just make sure that your resolution follows you around, whether its on your phone or noted down everyday in your diary.

You also need to make time

Unless you're really lucky, you're probably quite a busy person. You need to make time for your resolution.

Whether it is to get fitter - make half an hour when you get home to do some cardio, and note it in your diary (or however else you organise yourself).

Whether it is to get organised - make 5 minutes before going to school/work to tidy your room, this may mean getting up that little bit sooner though.

Whether it is to be happier - make some time on the weekend to spend time with people who make you happy.

Whether it is to.. well you get the gist.

Lastly you can't make any excuses

This is probably the main reason people give up on their resolutions (well for me anyway). Maybe if you want to be healthier, you can't let yourself grab yourself that bag of Haribos because you've had a bad day. Maybe if you want to stop worrying, you can't let yourself worry about that day because it was important. Maybe if you want to get good grades, you can't go out tonight because it's just one night.

I hope you enjoyed this little spontaneous post, I thoroughly enjoyed writing it. I hope its in time for when you're starting to give up, as it is time for me! I hope you do these little tips if you're struggling!

Best Beauty Discoveries of 2014

I was inspired by Emily Fayes Little World to do a post about my favourite discoveries of 2014. I thought it was a brilliant idea, and a great way to look back on the beauty side of 2014.

One thing I have discovered is the Sleek Palettes. I am in love with them! I may only have 2 but I plan on collecting them all. They do such a good range of shades that they suit everyone. From the bright Acid shade palette to the neutral Au Naturel shade palette. Theres one for anyone, and the best thing yet is that they're only £7.99.

The next discovery is Benefit. This is more of a recent discovery, and I only have one product from them but I do love their products (from what I know). The packaging is fantastic, and although not to everyones taste, I feel like the packaging is really unique and adds a special style to the brand. I have the Hello Flawless foundation, and I don't think I have ever loved a product as much as this one. I will have a full review on it soon so don't you worry. Anyway, some my discovery, if I have a few extra pounds I will definitely go for a Benefit product. They may be a bit pricy and I realise that I am not the best person for this for the lack of knowledge I have for the brand, but I do love the brand.

The next thing is lipsticks. Before 2014 I hadn't gone for lipsticks as I thought they were too out of my comfort zone, and would of gone for tinted lip balms instead, but this year I purchased two. These two were the Kate Moss lipstick in 05/7 and the Bourjois Rouge Edition in 18 (which you would know I talk about an awful lot on here). Lipsticks are something I want to collect now, I want to have a few to choose from for every look.

The last thing is eyelash curlers. I hadn't ventured into the world of eyelash curling until 2014 as I have quite curly lashes anyway. Since getting one I don't know what I would do without it. It makes my eyelashes pop out much more, and stop the from camouflaging into my eyeliner.

I hope you enjoyed this little post. Remember to check out Emily Fayes Little World to see her discoveries, as she did a much better job than me.

2015 - Turning Over a New Leaf

Its January the 3rd 2015 and I am in Yorkshire on a little family trip. This post is the first on here in 2015 and I wanted to wish you all a happy new year. I would also like to tell you about my new years resolutions and goals for 2015.

Personally, I prefer to have goals instead of resolutions. I find goals more realistic and easier to stick to than resolutions. This year, I have three.

1. To get healthier. By this, I hope to do more fitness and eat a little healthier. For this, my goal is to be able to run a certain (I won't bore you with the details) route without stopping.
2. To do more. Meaning, I want to do more things and not throw away opportunities. Even if I don't feel like it, I want to do it. Giving myself a goal for this would be to do as many activities as possible - possibly get out and do something 6 times a month.
3. To grow my blog. In 2015, I want to grow my blog, not as in followers but as in posts and quality of posts.

I hope you enjoyed this little post. I know I am a few days late posting this but I have been quite busy, but I promise a few more posts coming soon.
