A Sucker for Sunsets

What? Is that another photography post I see, Emily? Well, yes I'm not feeling the beauty/fashion thing at the moment - and I rather write photography posts. Anyway, yesterday evening I went for a walk to go and watch the sunset and it was very pretty so here is what I saw..

Sort of Artsy Pictures

Eeek! I have been away from this blog for a little too long so I thought I would post some sort of artsy pictures for a quick post. I went for a walk this morning with my friend and these were taken (and lots more, but I can only get hold of these right now!).

To give you a quick catch-up on where I've been, I went on a family holiday to France which was lovely - lots of fun was had. Then I went to a festival, Soul Survivor, and I honestly think it was one of the best experiences of my life. Anyway, that was a quick catch-up and I will be back to the usual posts soon, I promise!

Flashback Friday - Beautiful French Harbour

Today is the first of my Flashback Friday posts. In this series, I hope to look back on photos and memories. Today I'm flashbacking to my holiday in October to France with my family. We were staying very close to this beautiful harbour.

This is one of my favourite photos. There was this harbour surrounded by pretty French shops and cafés.

I took a quick picture of these beautiful flowers out there. I am a big fan of pictures of close up flowers, I just find that they always turn out to be the best ones.

As well as a harbour by the cafés, there was a harbour by a footpath full of pretty boats and reflections. The weather was amazing compared to British October, and the skys were always blue.

Don't you think printed pictures are so much better then digital pictures? Go back 5/10 years, people will think I'm crazy saying that as digital was all the range then. I feel now that the world is slowly going back to physical pictures now, with the popularity of Polaroids all over social media.

Welcome Winter - Blogmas Day 21

Today is the first official day of winter and I felt like doing a thoughtful, reflective post. It may seem like its been Winter for the last two months (for me anyway!) but its weird thinking yesterday was still Autumn.

Winter is one of my favourite times of the year, and its not just because Christmas. Winter is a time of celebrating, wrapping up warm and enjoying time with family and friends and I love that about Winter. Yes, the weather can be rather crappy in the UK with hardly any snow, and a load of rain, and a white Christmas seems to only exist in songs and films but it is a wonderful thought.

Holiday Pictures

I recently went on holiday to the Isles of Scilly, and seeing as my "Photography" post was one of my most popular posts I thought I would post some of the pictures I took on holiday.

Some Photography

I was looking through my camera the other day and thought I could do a blog post on some of my pictures and give some background on them. So here are some pictures I have taken over the last year (ish) and some background on them.

So this is a lamp post in Barcelona, probably not one of my best pictures but I do like it.

 This was taken on  the same day. This is some rusty railings in Barcelona, I quite like the focus on this.

Here we have a view of the village my friends and I visited last Summer in Germany.

And lastly, here is a picture of a bee and some flowers, around the same location as the last picture. I am not great at pictures of animals but this is probably my best.

This is a bit of a different post to the usual, but I hope you liked it.
